Dec 03, 2011 Robby Romero Will Join Global Days Of Action For Climate Justice At COP17 In South Africa
Social movements around the world will come together to participate in Global Days of Action for Climate Justice (www.globalclimatecampaign.org), a call to action for climate change on Dec. 3 in Durban, South Africa. Eagle Thunder Entertainment (ETE) recording artist Robby Romero will participate in this major climate change event and march in Durban to help create awareness and call on climate negotiators to respect the rights of Mother Earth and to honor and implement the rights of Indigenous Peoples, as outlined in the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples.
“Top scientists have recently weighed in on something Indigenous people have prophesized and the world is now experiencing – the devastating effects of global warming,” says Romero. “It’s going to take Indigenous wisdom and modern science working together to lead us into a time of healing.”
In conjunction with these activities, which includes the United Nations Annual Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP17) on Nov. 28–Dec. 9 in Durban, Native Children’s Survival’s latest music picture campaign, “Who’s Gonna Save You,” will have its world broadcast premiere. The music picture will premiere on South African Broadcasting Company’s (SABC 1) Yo TV on Friday, Dec. 2. Yo TV reaches millions of young people daily. In conjunction with the music picture premiere on Dec. 2, Romero will make a live appearance on e.TV’s “Sunrise” show in Johannesburg.
Romero will make a live appearance on SABC 3 on Dec. 5 in Durban and will participate in Indigenous Peoples Day on Dec. 6 in Durban. “Who’s Gonna Save You” will be shown at a special event on Indigenous Peoples Day, which will include a press conference and screening hosted by the Indigenous Peoples of Africa Coordinating Committee and a live performance by Romero.
“On behalf of Native Children’s Survival, this music picture has provided an opportunity and a platform for me to present Indigenous youth from around the world on SABC’s Yo TV to share their respective cultures, experience and knowledge in adapting to the impacts of climate change,” says Romero.
“Who’s Gonna Save You” will also be broadcast on South Africa’s e.tv program “Sisterhood.” The broad appeal of e.tv’s programming has resulted in loyal viewers spanning all age, race and income groups across 80.5 percent of the South African population. The station’s vision is to promote, profile and position itself as the channel of choice and the number one entertainment television network in South Africa.

Dec 02, 2011 Robby Romero LIVE On South Africa’s E.TV Sunrise Breakfast Show
Robby Romero made a live appearance on e.TV during his trip to South Africa for the United Nations Climate Change Conference Nov. 28 – Dec. 9. “I’m afraid COP, the Conference Of The Party’s, has been highjacked by the ‘Business As Usual’ cartel and is shaping up to be a big COP OUT.” He warned South African viewers, “Do not to be fooled with false solutions to climate change, like the carbon trade, offset markets, REDD or REDD type programs. These are not real solutions. They allow polluters to continue polluting, increase production, and release even more emissions into the atmosphere. Remember, emissions are one of the major causes of global warming.”

Robby encouraged world leaders to get serious with real solutions that safeguard the rights of Mother Earth and Indigenous Peoples on the front lines of climate change. “It’s time to put an end to corporate greed and their green wash lobby. For them it’s business as usual only now they’ve wrapped their old fossil foolish ideas in a new green leaf and are selling it as an eco friendly real solution to the climate crisis, it is not. I’m concerned that big business and bad decisions are robbing our children of a clean and safe future.”
Following the interview Robby performed live with an African Indigenous youth choir and the segment ended with the broadcast of his latest music picture, “Who’s Gonna Save You”.

Jan 27, 2011 NCS: Revolution For Freedom
Do you believe in freedom?
In Egypt on Thursday January 25, 2011, thousands of people began taking to the streets in protest of poverty, unemployment, government corruption, and the autocratic governance of President Hosni Mubarak, who has ruled the country for the past thirty years. Two-thirds of Egypt’s population have never known a leader other than him.
The government first responded by blocking Twitter, then proceeded to block Facebook, and finally all internet services and text messaging. This not only enraged Egyptian citizens, but also brought more attention to the uprising. Riot police have arrested and injured hundreds with batons, tear gas, and water cannons. National and international human rights activists and journalists have been detained, Egyptians have been arrested and tortured, and more than three hundred people have been killed, according to Human Rights Watch. These protests, inspired by the successful revolution in Tunisia which ousted President Ben Ali, have been the largest in Egypt since the 1970s.
Do you believe in freedom of speech, freedom of choice, freedom of press, freedom of religion?
Do you believe you’re free?
